It's been a while since I've done anything about color guides. A while back I put out a color guide for Luna based on her appearance in the season one pilot and the comic con poster. Now that the Season 2 episode Luna Eclipsed has rolled around, Luna's design received a bit of an overhaul, putting her a little more on par with Princess Celestia. This means that the existing guide is no longer accurate.
At some point, I'll consider making another guide for Luna based on her new design. Fortunately, the high-res preview still posted on the MLP facebook is easily corrected since there is a known-good in the scene (Twilight). Luna's new design is some of her old with a bit of Nightmare Moon thrown in. There was even a few animation errors with bits of her old hair thrown in for good measure, so it looks like her new mane was a later addition.
Unfortunately, Luna only exists in her night palette in this entire episode, but even with correction I can see that several of her primary colors have changed significantly. Her coat (body fill and stroke) is a darker, less saturated purple, while her mane strokes are now a bright purple. No more contrast problems of her mane against her body. Her greaves / hoof shoes have also turned into more magenta purplish colors as well (though note the one in the image is on her shadow side, so it is slightly darker than her non-shadow side). Her eyes are still the same color. Her cutie mark, crown, and necklace are all now consistent in their fills, as they've been changed to pure black. The stroke of the crown now matches the stroke of the necklace, too.
The transparency in her hair is achieved by about an 80% normal opacity (alpha blend), though I wonder whether the actual transaprent fill is the same as the stroke color. My math says no, but only slightly, so the hair stroke set to a lower brightness yields a similar effect after the alpha blend. However, there's generational loss in place, so there is some room for error.
So, stay tuned for some time in the future when the new guide will be out - without an official day palette, it'll take a while before I can offer an opinion. In the interim, please don't use Luna's night colors if she's in daylight.

Finishing Up Conventions This Year
Hi Everyone,
First, want to thank everyone for the support over the past year.
Second, I'm announcing (publicly) that this year will be my final year doing touring conventions. I've already done several this year and enjoyed them quite a bit. My remaining schedule is:
TrotCon
BronyCon
Saturday Morning Con-toons
GraniteCon (New Hampshire)
I've applied for Ponyville Ciderfest, and if that goes to plan, that will be my final Pony convention.
I've enjoyed doing them all these years, as well as all the non-pony conventions I've done. But due to real-life and job circumstances, I've decided that winding down is the right move for me persona
Back at BronyCon, plus new laser stands!
Hi Everyone,
BronyCon is in two weeks, and I'll be there at vendor table 510! I'll have a bunch of new laser stands, plus NEW enamel pins, keychains and more! I will still have prints, but as time goes on prints are being retired and not being reprinted. Get them while you can.
I'm also confirmed to be at Ponyville Ciderfest, Nightmare Nights Dallas, and Equestria LA! If you're in New England, I'll also be at Granite State Comic Con in New Hampshire.
If you can't come to a con, never fear! You can buy laser stands at my etsy shop.
Have you already swung by a con this year? If so, thanks! I'm always happy to talk to people, especially thos
Upcoming cons: Whinny City and BABScon!
Hey all,
Two cons are coming in the span of four weeks, and I'll be at both of them!
If you're heading to Whinny City Ponycon, I'll be at table #36, with my brand new style of laser light stands! They've been upgraded to feature user-selectable colors, USB or battery power, thicker materials, and bigger inserts! I'll also have prints, pins, and keychains as well.
As far as BABScon goes, I'll be at table F5 in the main vendor hall, with similar things to Whinny City, except I'll have brand new Princess Luna enamel pins. Make sure to stop by and say hi!
This year I'll be starting to move things more towards laser stands. I will still carry
Etsy Shop Now Open for Laser Stands!
Hi Guys,
if you didn't get to see me at either BronyCon or TrotCon, you didn't have the chance to get a laser stand. Well, now you can get one! I've put the extras up on an Etsy shop, where you can order one. Right now I am restricting shipping to the US only. Eventually I will expand it to international, but for the time being I'm starting out here.
The stands come with batteries and are packed with protective materials. They are RGB light-shifting and light up in a variety of colors!

It's been 5 years since this entry was written, and the last comment is 3 years old. While I can just go and use the exact colors given in her MLP Wikia profile, a color guide from you wouldn't hurt since it provides another point of comparison. Then again there's that vector club and their guides.
So, what are you planning with these guides ? It certainly seems you have zero intention to create anything.
FWIW, this is the link to Luna's S3 gallery on MLP Wikia where you can find many daytime shots (might be low-quality, I haven't checked better): mlp.wikia.com/wiki/Princess_Lu…
