Description
Do not fear, my fellow equines, for Discord is here to bring fun and excitement to your dull lives! If you allow his chaos into your life, you'll have a new look on things. He guarantees it!

People had been bugging me for some time to do posters based on the villains. It wasn't for lack of source material, but I felt there were a lot of ideas based on the main characters that I hadn't touched on. Now that I've gotten most of them out of the way, and that the show has introduced more villains, there's more for me to draw from.
The poster is based on an old Soviet propaganda piece, proclaiming that "Stalin's Care Brightens The Future of Our Children." [link] Like most Soviet propaganda, it builds a cult of personality around the central leader, in this case Joseph Stalin. Questioning the direction of the leader was not allowed, and even if things weren't looking particularly good, you were constantly reminded that Stalin's father-like warmth would make things better.... or so they said.
This one was particularly challenging, since it was the first time I've ever drawn Discord. Add an unusual position for a pony (rarely are they held by creatures with real arms and hands) and it took a lot of redrawing and suggestions from great friends to make this look not-stupid.

I like the obviousness of Discord's motives here. TLC
